AI, the BS Savant and Autocognition

This talk surveys AI’s evolution, from narrow systems automating human tasks to today’s hype around AGI. I argue current models won’t reach AGI, but rapid innovation may produce non-human-like AGI soon. Before that, machines will outperform humans in many “intelligent” tasks, reshaping academia and society. After AGI, all bets are off.
