Charlene LeBleu is an Associate Professor and Interim Head of the School of Architecture, Planning & Landscape Architecture at Auburn University. Her research focuses on coastal planning and design, and water quality issues and low impact development design. She is a member of the American Institute of Certified Planners (AICP), and a Fellow of the American Society of Landscape Architects (ASLA)

Her nominator wrote:Her track record of community outreach and advocacy embedded in her numerous service learning projects led to the development of the Low Impact Development Handbook for the State of Alabama, a resource providing guidelines and best practices for developers and design professionals.”

Her Dean wrote: “Charlene’s work has increased the understanding of design and planning in the state of Alabama in many ways. Through her service learning projects she played a seminal role in the transformative empowerment of communities across the state.”
