About The CELA Conference
The CELA’s first and foremost obligation is to protect the safety of our members, and the partners and colleagues with whom we work & interact. Given the ongoing concerns about COVID-19, we have implemented a series of actions that reflect our commitment to safe and healthy communities.
The CELA conference is the annual destination for educators, students, and others who possess an interest in the academic practice of landscaping architecture. It includes hundreds of attendees, a number of on-site events and off-site excursions, exhibitors, and three days of essential conversation and celebration of recent research in all aspects of landscape architecture. CELA’s annual conferences have always been a place of connection, reunion, and joy, and we are excited to see the landscape architecture community come together again in Santa Ana Pueblo, New Mexico in 2022.

In light of the tremendous success of the virtual 2021 CELA conference, CELA will incorporate a virtual component to #CELA22. In addition to offering our full in-person event schedule in New Mexico from March 16-19, 2022, we will offer a selection of prerecorded virtual events. A virtual-only registration will be available for #CELA22 that will include the prerecorded virtual events. The in-person registration will include all in-person and virtual programming. Anyone is welcome to propose an in-person or a virtual event for #CELA22 the deadline to submit is September 13, 2021. All presentations will last the usual 15 minutes. Please note that due to sparse staff & resources, only a limited number of virtual presentations will be available for each track.
